A distraught mother is asking the public for help in locating her 16-year-old daughter who has been missing for more than a week now.
Arlene Spencer, the teen’s mother visited Stabroek News yesterday afternoon and explained that her daughter, Aliyah Latifah Haywood, left their 1161 Cummings Park, Sophia home last Friday and has not returned since.
Spencer noted that though this is not the first time her daughter has stayed away from home, it has, so far, been the longest, which is causing the family to worry.
“The last time I saw her was Friday when she was going out. She didn’t tell anybody where she was going but the next day came and she didn’t come back home. It’s been one week now and we haven’t heard or seen her. When she left the house, she was wearing a white top, a blue short pants and a gold and white sneakers,” the woman related.
Stabroek News was told by the mother that a missing person’s report was filed at the Turkeyen Police Station yesterday.
“Wherever you gone, wherever you are, just come back home,” the mother pleaded.
Anyone knowing the whereabouts of Aliyah Latifah Haywood are asked to contact the nearest police station or her sister Naomi Haywood on +592 679 2260.
