While we are still debating the corporal punishment of children, Nepal (population 26 million) has recently become the 54th state to totally ban all forms of this practice on children. “In September 2018, Nepal adopted the Act relating to Children 2018 which explicitly prohibits corporal punishment of children in all settings.
