Enterprise Cricket Club will battle Strathavon in the final of the Bargain Supermarket T20 powered by Carib Beer as the curtains come down tomorrow at the Enmore Community Centre Ground.
The two teams advanced to the final by virtue of convincing wins last weekend with Enterprise beating Lusignan B by 34 runs and Strathavon defeating Enmore by 11 runs.
Enterprise won the toss and took first strike with West Indies batsman Rajendra Chandrika hammering 56 to see his side post 119/8.
Emran Khan snared 3-18.
In reply, Lusignan were limited to 85 all out with Akshaya Persaud top scoring with 39. Vivian Albert dominated with the ball, taking 3-11 while Chandrika returned to bag 2-15.
In the other semifinal, Strathavon were restricted to 93-7 from their allotted overs with Zakeer Salim top scoring with a subtle 19. Rudolph Singh and Chris Surat were economical, with 2-14 and 2-13 from four overs respectively. In reply, the hosts, Enmore were bundled out for 82 with Ameer Khan top scoring with 16. Gavin Hemraj took 3-11.
Earlier, Enterprise advanced after defeating Lusignan A by 45 runs at the Lusignan ground. Enterprise raced to 169-5 with Bhaskar Yadram stroking 75 and Chandrika chipping in with 29. Kumar Bishundial took 3-20. Lusignan A were restricted to 124-9 with Somdat Bharrat scoring 29.
Yadram and Chandrika took 2-22 and 2-23 respectively.
Enmore defeated Lusignan by 11 runs at Enmore to book their place against Strathavon. Enmore climbed to 125-5 with Singh notching up 42 and Bheemraj Ramkellawan adding 39. Khan took 3-18 from four overs.
In reply Lusignan B were contained to 114-9 with Khan returning to stroke 42 while Mahendra Jeenarine and Satash Jainarine took two wickets each.
Also Strathavon defeated Better Hope A by 59 runs at Strathavon ground after posting 179-4 with Tagenarine Chanderpaul and Gudakesh Motie smashing 64 and 57 respectively. Better Hope A were dismissed for 120 in 19.4 overs in reply with Richard Chatura taking three wickets.
The third place game will kick off the day’s proceedings from 09.00hrs with the final set for a 13.00hrs start.
