(TRINIDAD EXPRESS) Dureem Arjoon appeared before a San Fernando magistrate charged with the Jouvert murder of Osei Joseph.
Joseph, 24, of La Romaine, was stabbed during an altercation during J’ouvert celebrations on February 12. He died at hospital.
Arjoon, 19, of La Romaine, was charged with murdering Joseph while at Cipero Street, San Fernando.
The charge was laid by Constable Jenny Dyer-Baptiste, of the Homicide Bureau, after Arjoon was arrested during Operation Strike back in the Southern Division last Thursday.
During his court appearance before Senior Magistrate Cherril-Anne Antoine on Tuesday, Arjoon was represented by attorney Gobin Harripersad.
Arjoon was remanded into custody until November 5.
