A most startling revelation was made at our last statutory meeting at City Hall held on Monday, October 22nd, 2018. For the first time, after questions were raised when this present Council was first appointed, it was admitted that City Hall has more than one financial bank account.
Hearing this after many years, and now with a ‘Commission of Inquiry’ in place finally there are several other questions that still remain unanswered. It was, therefore, indeed a surprise for many when this disclosure went public. How many such accounts, are there?
These questions are not going to be answered in a hurry by this Council, we can be assured. This is not in keeping with the traditions of this Council.
With the present Council now dissolved, the case for a new Council will now have to be presented.
You the Citizens of Georgetown, will be the judge and jury as you cast your ballots on November 12th 2018 for a new vibrant, clean and accountable Council to manage the City we all love and treasure so dearly.
