The Linden Fund Trust (LFT)/Linden Community Forum has invited the parties contesting in the region at the November 12 local government elections – the AFC, APNU, PPP/C and the URP to participate in two Town Meetings/Debates.
A release signed by Samuel Wright said that the debates are being promoted in the interest of an informed electorate.
The proposed dates and venues are as indicated below:
* Friday, November 2, 2018 ( 6:00 – 8:00 pm) New Silver City Secondary School, Wismar
* Friday, November 9, 2018 ( 6:00 – 8:00 pm) LICHAS Hall, Mackenzie
Representatives will present their parties’ positions of the critical various, specifically on: governance,
wealth creation, community participation and the environment.
The Town Meetings/Debates will be moderated by Dario McKlmon. In addition to prepared questions from the moderator, there will be written questions from the members of the audience.
The release said that this will be a tightly planned, ticketed event. Members of the public may request/obtain tickets (free) from the Linden Fund Trust Office (444 6350). Attendees are asked to be punctual and to allow for an efficient and productive dialogue in the allotted timeframe.
The LFT says it has a history, dating back to 2015, of promoting discussions and forums in support of an informed electorate.
