The calendar has flipped to November so that means the highly anticipated Race of Champions is just about four weeks away.
The Jumbo Jet Thoroughbred Racing Committee recently released the provisional programme and disclosed that the fixture will be staged at the Port Mourant Turf Club on December 2.
News reaching this daily also disclosed that the C and Lower will be the feature event on the 10-race card.

1500M- F-Class…For Colts, Gelding, Fillies & Mares 3 Years Old & Up. Open to all West Indian and Guyana bred horses F & Lower.
1300M-H-Class Purse: $446,500.For Colts, Gelding, Fillies & Mares 3 Years Old & Up. Open to all West Indian bred horses H& Lower. Open to Guyana bred horses H1 & Lower. Also Open to West Indian bred horses classed G1 and lower non-winner in Guyana.
1300M-2yrs Old Purse: $533,000.For Colts, Gelding & Fillies 2 Years Old. Horses Bred in Guyana Only.
1500M-I Class Purse…For Colts, Gelding, Fillies & Mares 3 years old & up. Guyana bred horses classified i1& Lower. Also open to H-Class non-earner in Guyana. Colts & Gelding weight Maximum 126lb, Minimum108lb. Fillies & Mares weight Maximum 123lb Minimum 105lb.
1300M-J Class…For Colts, Gelding, Fillies & Mares 3 years old & up. Guyana bred horses classified J3 & lower.
1300M-K-Class Purse…For Colts, Gelding, Fillies & Mares 3 years old & up. Guyana bred horses classified K- class & lower.
1500M-L class Purse…For Colts, Gelding Only.Horses of all ages. Guyana bred horses classified L Class. Open to J3 first time starter and K class horses who have not earn in their first start/last start.
