The Guianan Toucanet is found in north-western Brazil, French Guiana, Guyana, Suriname, and Venezuela. The female Guianan Toucanet has largely gray underparts, rather than being generally reddish below. It feeds on a wide variety of seeds and fruits, as well as taking some insects.
