A policeman died yesterday after he lost control of the car he was driving and was tossed out along the Aroaima Trail, Region 10.
According to Police Commander, Lindon Lord, around 12:50 am, while driving on the Aroaima Company Road, 33-year-old Cardis Joseph, of New Amsterdam, Berbice, lost control of the car (PPP 4196) he was driving which crashed into the side of the road and turned over. As a result of the crash, Joseph was thrown from the car.
The police received information about the accident from a resident and rushed to the scene where they found the man’s lifeless body.
Lord explained that Joseph was driving his friend’s vehicle at the time and was proceeding east along Company Road head to the “Waterfront” when he lost control of the car and crashed.
