One person has been arrested and three others are on the run after they were allegedly involved in the murder of a 45-year-old man after he stopped buying drugs from them.
According to information from the Guyana Police Force, the man, who has only been identified as ‘Buckman’ was stabbed multiple times around 11 pm at Leopold and Lombard streets by four men. The police said that the man was killed because he and others reportedly stopped buying drugs from the men.
After being stabbed he was rushed to the Georgetown Public Hospital but succumbed to his injuries. The police said that one of the suspects, of Cross Street, Werk-en-Rust was arrested sometime yesterday and is currently cooperating with police investigators.
