A man was yesterday arrested by the police for discharging a firearm in Vryheid’s Lust, East Coast Demerara.
According to the police, around 1:50 am yesterday, a police patrol responded to a report about a male discharging a firearm at Vryheid’s Lust South. However, when the patrol arrived, the suspect noticed the police and escaped. He was later arrested on the Better Hope Public Road.
The police searched the man and found two live 9mm rounds. He is currently in police custody assisting with the investigation.
