The third of three prisoners who escaped from the Lusignan Prison in Octo-ber has been recaptured by the police in Tuschen, East Bank Essequibo.
According to information coming from the Guyana Police Force, Sudesh Dyal, who is originally from Wales Back-dam, West Bank Demerara was recaptured yesterday morning in the Tuschen Squatting Area.
The police noted that they acted on information received and sometime around 3 am, a police team led by Divisional Commander Senior Superintendent Edmond Cooper, swooped down on the location and arrested the man without any incident.
Dyal, along with Dextroy Pollard, also of Wales, and Travis Evans of ‘C’ Field Sophia had escaped from the Lusignan Prison on October 15.
On October 19, a search was launched which led to the recapture of Evans who was caught by Joint Services ranks at the Soesdyke-Linden junction.
Evans, 23, was charged in August with the murder of Timehri youth, Ronsley Clarke, who was fatally shot in Sophia.
Evans, who is known by the alias ‘Short Boss,’ is alleged to have shot Clarke, 21, of Fire Station Road, Timehri, in full view of his friends on August 2nd.
Pollard was arrested on October 31st after he was recaptured by civic-minded citizens in Free and Easy, West Bank Demerara.
