A Smithfield, New Amsterdam poultry farmer, who was on Friday allegedly arrested with over 12 pounds of cocaine at the Molson Creek Ferry Stelling, is expected to appear in court tomorrow.
Trevor Edward Loo, 50, was arrested around 9.15 am on Friday for possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking.
Stabroek News was told yesterday, that the file has been sent for advice and it is likely that the man will appear before the Springlands Magistrate’s Court sometime tomorrow.
The farmer was en route to Suriname, when ranks in Berbice based on information received stopped him.
A police source had told Stabroek News that the man was at the stelling when ranks launched a search on his vehicle, PJJ 5889, during which the illegal item stored in several packets was discovered.
