Kobras mauled Colts 81-61 in their 1st Division showdown, when the Georgetown Amateur Basketball Association [GABA] ‘League Championship’, continued on Sunday at the Burnham Court, Middle and Carmichael streets.
Carlos Edwards was the primary threat for the victors with 24 points.
He was assisted by Garfield Grenville, who scored 19 points, while veteran shooter Trevor Smith and Mark Williams added 11 and eight points respectively
For Colts, Jonathan Mangra and Shane Webster recorded 18 and 16 points each, while Kurt English and Quacey Lindo added eight and seven points each.
Similarly, Pacesetters battered Pepsi Sonics 83-59 in their 2nd Division fixture.
Quincy Dos Santos led the rout with 21 points, while Zion Gray, Kwesi Roberts, David Conway and Troy David added 13 12, nine and each points each.
For Sonics, Darren Vanderstoop amassed 20 points, while Daniel Anthony and Lemuel Grant added 11 and 10 points apiece.
Meanwhile on Saturday at the same venue, Eagles clawed past University of Guyana [UG] Trojans 90-78 in the 1st Division.
Travis Belgrave top scored with 29 points, while Mark Wills, Louis James and Ryan Gullen added 14, 14 and 12 points each.
For the loser, Samuel Thompson and Selvaughn Mosley recorded 18 and 11 points each.
Also, Plaisance Guardians downed Vikings 72-61 in the 2nd Division. Terrence Daniels and Akeem Crandon tallied 24 and 18 points respectively.
For the loser, Leon Lex and Shayne Joseph netted 13 and 11 points correspondingly.
