(Trinidad Guardian) A Point Fortin woman died of a heart attack while receiving treatment at Port-of-Spain General Hospital after she was knocked down while crossing the road in St Clair on Wednesday morning.
The victim has been identified as Patricia La Chapelle, 62, of Tanner Street, Point Fortin.
According to reports, La Chapelle was crossing the road at the corner of Sweet Briar Road and Maraval Road around 10 am when she was hit by a Range Rover driven by a female attorney.
La Chapelle was taken to the hospital but suffered a heart attack around 12.30 pm. She never regained consciousness.
The attorney was also taken to the hospital and treated for shock.
