A pulsating half century from New Amsterdam Technical Institute (NATI) skipper, Garfield Benjamin spurred his side to a 173-run win over Lower Corentyne to take the Region Six, Berbice Cricket Board Mogu Mogu Inter-Secondary Schools title.
At the Area H ground, Lower Corentyne won the toss and decided to field as NATI raced to 223-7 from their 30 overs. In turn, Lower Corentyne could only muster 50 all out from 12 overs.
Playing under glorious sunshine, Benjamin stroked 88 with his side losing R. Ramkishun for four early in the innings, Benjamin partnered with Brandon Stuart to put on 103 for the third wicket with Stuart contributing 40. Stephen Kamuladin chipped in with 21 as Damien Cecil copped 2-34 and offspinner, Vjay Gopilall grabbed 2-35 from their five overs.
