Four of the eight cops who were under close arrest, following accusations that they stole exhibits from the recent cocktail reception of the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) conference, will be charged.
Crime Chief Lyndon Alves yesterday told Stabroek News that they have received advice from the Police Legal Advisor, retired Justice Claudette Singh, on the matter.
In the advice, it was recommended that the four members of the Guyana Police Force Steel Orchestra face disciplinary charges. Alves did not state what the likely charges are.
The band members are accused of stealing model airplanes that were on display during a cocktail reception held last Thursday at the Arthur Chung Conference Centre.
