Albion Cricket Club along with Tucber Park Cricket Club both recorded eight-wicket wins while Young Warriors and Rose Hall Town Gizmos and Gadgets registered 30-run and 27-run victories respectively as the Berbice Cricket Board hosted the first ever first division Ivan Madray Memorial 100-balls tournament.
Kevin Jawahir made the highest individual score of the competition, a blistering 73 but that was not enough as his side, Blairmont Cricket Club lost to Young Warriors at the Port Mourant Ground. Young Warriors were aided with 46 runs from National under-19 opener, Alex Algoo who was supported by Trevon Stanislaus (26) and Suresh Dhanai (23 not out) as their side climbed to 152-5 from their allotted balls. Marvan Prashad took 2-30 while Seon Glasgow was economical with 1-23.
In reply, Jawahir’s lone hand was not enough as his side fell to 122-6 as Devendra Ramoutar bagged 3-20 with Stanislaus returning to take 2-18.
