The National Mystery

Amid the excitement of securing an historic victory against El Salvador at the recently concluded CONCACAF U20 Football Championship, the first ever against Central American opposition at any level, we must be reminded that history was also created against us in the month of November.  We fell on the wrong side of history in this regard, as lowly Cayman Islands and traditional whipping boys French Guiana, recorded maiden wins at the U20 and senior levels respectively.

Banks for two-day street football tourney

Aware of the disappointment of the teams and fans following the rescheduling of the Guinness ‘Greatest of the Streets’ Competition to January 18, 2019, Banks DIH Limited will stage a two-day tournament on December 14th and 21st at the National Cultural Centre Tarmac.

Two officers from the Maritime Administration Department (MARAD) successfully completed the Caribbean Ship Inspector Training (CASIT) programme during the period October 29 – November 16, 2018, in Trinidad and Tobago.
