LUCAS STOCK INDEX
The Lucas Stock Index (LSI) declined 0.43% during the first period of trading in December 2018. The stocks of five companies were traded, with 403,961 shares changing hands. There were no Climbers and one Tumbler. The stocks of the Demerara Tobacco Company (DTC) declined 5.26% on the sale of 1,100 shares. In the meanwhile, the stocks of Banks DIH (DIH), the Guyana Bank for Trade & Industry (BTI), the Demerara Distillers Limited (DDL) and Republic Bank Limited (RBL) remained unchanged on the sale of 402,486; 140; 125 and 110 shares, respectively. The LSI closed at 479.71.
