Labourer sentenced to nine months for break and entry, theft

A 50-year-old man was on Friday sentenced to nine months in jail, after admitting to breaking and entering a house and stealing over $200,000 in articles.

Gregory Simmons, on December 6th, 2018, at Bel-Air Village, broke and entered the house of Mark Trim and stole a total of $255,000 in tools.

Simmons, who is a labourer, pleaded guilty to the charge read to him by Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan, at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court.
