Dear Editor,
Now that the Government has fallen and we will have elections within the next three months, the electorate will now be focused on who will be the Presidential candidate for the PPP and the APNU or coalition, whatever they decide. In this missive I want to focus on who should be the Presidential candidate for the PPP.
I would like to submit that if the PPP hope to garner the magical figure of 51% of the votes to win the elections, then their Presidential candidate must be Dr. Frank Anthony, with Dr. Vindhya Persaud as the Prime Ministerial candidate. Dr. Anthony is a simple, humble and decent human being who is not arrogant, pompous and boorish like two of his fellow hopefuls. He is also a down-to-earth and approachable person, who is not tainted with the baggage of corruption and fraud. Dr. Anthony also enjoy broad support among our Afro and Amerindian brothers and sisters and with Dr. Vindhya Persaud, who is well known for her humanitarian work, especially among women and youths, I guarantee the PPP will win the elections by a landslide. Failing to heed my advice, I guarantee the PPP will lose badly at the elections, especially if any of the two favoured hopefuls of the opposition leader is selected as the party Presidential candidate.
