AAG commences series of cross country events

The Athletics Association of Guyana (AAG) kicked off its 2018/2019 calendar year of activities last Sunday with a Cross Country at the National Park.

Six Clubs, Christianburg Wismar Secondary School, De Challengers Athletic Club, Running Brave Athletic Club, Police Progressive Youth Club, New Amsterdam United and Super Upcoming Runners competed at the fixture which was labeled a success.

According to a release, the event saw many athletes participating in the various categories: youth, junior and senior with a special event that was held for athletes 12-14 years old and sprinters.

Note: The next Cross Country events are scheduled for this Sunday at the Bayrock Community Centre Ground in Linden and at the Esplanade Ground New Amsterdam, Berbice. Both will commence at 15:00 hrs.
