(Trinidad Guardian) A 17-year-old boy is among three people who have been charged with the murder of PC Kryston Ramirez.
They will be appearing in the Arima Magistrates’ Court this morning, the same day when Ramirez’s military funeral will be taking place.
The men who have been charged along with the teenager have been identified as Marvin Madoo and Alex Sumir.
Charges were laid on Thursday evening by Sgt Lunch of Homicide Region 2.
Police said two of the three suspects were arrested during an Operation Strike Back exercise in the Carapo and Peytonville areas between December 17 and December 18.
According to a police report, at about 2.30 pm on December 16 two masked men entered Classy Bar along the Carapo Main Road, Arima and one of the suspects pointed a gun at Ramirez and opened fire on him. Ramirez was assigned to the Guard and Emergency Branch.
Investigations are continuing.
