(Trinidad Express) A man and his wife were killed in a crash near Princes Town early on Sunday.

Dead are Deokaran Panilal, 62, and his wife Rookmin Panilal, 55.

The two were in a car travelling along the Guaracara/Tabaquite Road when Deokaran lost control of the car.

The vehicle struck a light pole.

The couple was killed on impact.

It happened at around 1:40 a.m.

The couple lived at Garth Road, Princes Town.
