Minister within Ministry of Public Health, Dr. Karen Cummings yesterday urged the graduating students of Hope Secondary School to equip themselves with a skill that will allow them to benefit from the country’s upcoming oil and gas industry.
“You are growing up in a time when Guyana is on the brink of unprecedented economic development. Very soon with the discovery of our vast deposits, Guyana will become an inevitable force which will bring numerous opportunities, especially for young people. Therefore, one must prepare oneself to benefit from such,” Cummings said, according to the Department of Public Information.
Delivering the feature address at the Secondary School’s graduation ceremony the junior Health Minister said:
“It is imperative that you continue to educate yourselves, learn a skill or trade, make yourselves more highly serviceable to your country because Guyana needs each and every one of you.”
