Sherwayne Brandt, the minibus driver who was charged last October with the rape of a 14-year-old girl, has been committed to stand trial at the High Court for the crime.
The charge against Brandt, also known as ‘Brave,’ states that on October 7th, 2015, at Plum Park, Sophia, he engaged in sexual activity with a child under the age of 16.
City Magistrate Faith McGusty yesterday committed Brandt to stand trial for the offence at the conclusion of his preliminary trial.
Asahel Williams, a minibus conductor, was also charged with the same crime and he was committed to face trial last November.
