Strutting to a first place finish in her debut outing at the National Senior Bodybuilding Championships last year, Ms. Bikini Champion, Chandini Khan has plans to repeat and then some in 2019.
The Fitness Paradise Gym standout aspires to raise the bar on the local stage while also taking her talents overseas.
The soon to be 26-year-old told this publication yesterday that she currently has her hard hat on putting in overtime with trainer, Omar Hope to bring up her lagging body parts in an effort to be more complete and balanced to compete with the best bodies in the Region.
“This sport has truly defined what my passion really is. I will always be working on myself, on my physique, doing whatever I can, however I can for this sport.”
Khan added “I am looking forward to defending my title at the National competition this year and as far as international competitions go, it is my desire to compete at CAC. The CAC Championships is the highest competition in the Region and will be held in late July in Puerto Rico. She reminded that sponsorship continues to be the heaviest weight to lift but “Nevertheless as the year progresses, I will be working towards those goals.”
Tanned, toned and clad in stilettos, Khan plans to use her perfect mix of beauty, style and muscle to carve out a podium spot once she competes in Puerto Rico.
So what are some of the body parts she is working on in the gym? “My shoulders and glute/hamstring tie ins are my weak areas, so I’ll be focusing on building my shoulders and bringing a more defined glute/hamstrings.”
Outside the gym, Khan is also working on improving her resume’ in the field of personal training and nutrition.
“I’m working on educating and certifying myself in the areas or nutrition and personal training in order to help others as these are also my areas of aspirations.”
All in all, Khan is doing whatever she can to continue her ascent on the fitness ladder, in and out the gym. Stabroek Sport will keep readers up to date on her achievements.
