Bail was granted to two vendors yesterday after they pleaded not guilty to breaking and entering a shop in the North West District and stealing a quantity of tyres.
Derek Persaud and Leon Singh, who are both vendors at Kumaka, were each asked to post bail of $60,000 to facilitate their release from custody after they pleaded not guilty to a joint charge, which was read to them by Magistrate Leron Daly in Georgetown.
The charge alleged that on January 9th, at Kumaka Stretch, North West District, Persaud and Singh broke and entered a shop owned by Earl Inniss and stole seven tyres, valued $140,000.
The matter has been adjourned until January 21st.
