A taxi driver was yesterday granted bail after he was charged with sexually abusing an 11-year-old girl.
Rishi Seepersaud, 40, was read a charge which alleged that on September 8th, 2018, at McDoom Public Road, East Bank Demerara, he engaged in sexual activity with a child under the age of 16.
Seepersaud denied the charge.
He was later granted his release on $100,000 bail by acting Chief Magistrate Sherdel Isaacs-Marcus and the matter was then adjourned until January 28th.
