Chris Pollard, a youth accused of robbing a man of personal items, was yesterday granted bail after he pleaded not guilty to the charge.
The charge, which was read by Magistrate Leron Daly in Georgetown, alleges that Pollard, 18, on January 11th, 2019, at Croal Street, Georgetown, robbed Ramiz Mohammed of his cellphone and cash, amounting to $16,500 and that before, during or after the alleged robbery he used personal violence on his victim.
Pollard, who is currently unemployed, pleaded not guilty to the charge and was granted his release on $40,000 bail by the magistrate.
His next scheduled hearing is on February 6th, 2019.
