Following a banner year at the helm, President of the Guyana Amateur Powerlifting Federation, Ed Caesar was reelected unopposed when the body held its Annual General Meeting yesterday at the National Resource Centre.
In fact, the entire executive was reelected unopposed to continue the smooth running of the affairs of the federation for another calendar year.
The 2019 Executive Committee, nominated ‘En Block’ are as follows:-
Ed Caesar – President
Nadina Taharally – Vice President
Colin Austin – Treasurer
Andrea Smith – General Secretary
Runita White – PRO/Organizing Secretary
David Gomes – Committee Member
Martin Webster – Committee Member
Erwyn Smith – Committee Member
During the forum yesterday, Caesar, Smith and Austin presented their annual reports to members of the body.
Meanwhile, the federation’s 2019 Executive Committee is expected to kick start its calendar year by hosting the first of four annual competitions – the Novices and Juniors Powerlifting Championships on February. The fixture will be held at the St Stanislaus College. Lifting commences at 10:00am sharp.
Tickets for this event cost $1000 prior to the event and $1500 at the gate.
