Berbician, Balram Narine kicked off his 2019 campaign on the most positive note, sprinting to victory in the feature 35-lap event of the Ricks and Sari 11-race programme yesterday at the National Park.
The Flying Ace Cycle Club standout won the season opener in a thrilling three-man sprint, besting breakaway mates, Paul DeNobrega and Michael Anthony in an exciting photo finish.
The 20 year-old took the winner’s trophy along with two sprint prizes after stopping the clock in a brisk one hour, 14 minutes and two seconds in perfect conditions for racing.
