A man was yesterday fined after admitting to causing a noise nuisance to his neighbour.
Mark Samaroo, 40, admitted that on January 18th, 2019, at King Street, he operated a music set to the annoyance of his neighbour.
Samaroo pleaded guilty after the charge was read to him by acting Chief Magistrate Sherdel Isaacs-Marcus, who told him to keep the volume of the music down and made him apologise to his neighbour in court.
According to Samaroo’s neighbour, over the past four years the noise made by Samaroo has caused her severe headaches while her home vibrates.
Samaroo was fined $15,000 or, if he fails to pay the fine, 30 days in jail. Samaroo was also placed on a bond to keep the peace for one year.
