Dear Editor,
I had occasion to refer a gentleman with an amputated leg to Commander of `C’ Division, Mr Calvin Brutus. Upon learning of the man’s incapacity Commander Brutus went to the man’s vehicle and addressed the matter.
I am told that the matter is being stymied by certain ranks of the Mahaica Police Station and may have to be reverted to Commander Brutus. But the intent of this letter is to express appreciation at the courteous manner in which Commander Brutus dealt with the matter.
I am also informed that Commander Brutus has an “open door” policy and members of the public can approach him without much red tape.
I have known much lower-ranked members of the GPF who treat the public with disdain. It would be to the Force’s credit were they to emulate the example of Commander Brutus.
Yours faithfully,
Taajnauth Jadunauth
