An eighteen-year-old Duke Street resident was last night rushed to the Georgetown Public Hospital after he was stabbed in his chest.
Stabroek News was told that Shamar Williams was stabbed when he attempted to part a fight between two others.
“He went to part the fight between two men and one of them stabbed he and the one that stabbed him got juk on he hand by the man that he was fighting with,” a member close to the family said.
Williams was admitted in a semi-conscious state at the public health facility and was receiving medical attention in the accident and emergency unit.
Meanwhile, his attacker was taken to the police station in a police van and was being treated for the stab wound on his hand.
