Some minibus operators, including from Route 40 (Kitty/Campbellville), staged a protest across the street from the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts yesterday to call for the removal of Traffic Court Magistrate Clive Nurse, who they accused of being unreasonable. They also objected to the Traffic Department’s use of CCTV footage against them. The operators said they need to be respected for the services they provide to the Guyanese public. They also spoke of the lack of systems in place to accommodate their minibuses and the fact that they don’t believe that their union is representing them. (Photo by Terrence Thompson)
