A fine century from Police Sports Club (PSC) linchpin Kevon Boodie propelled his side past the Transport Sports Club (TSC) by 95 runs in Sunday’s lone Georgetown Cricket Association (GCA)/New Building Society (NBS) second division 40-over tournament at Everest Cricket Ground.
Police, batting first and hunting a place in the semis, posted 226 for six when their allotted 40 overs ended. Boodie was pleasing on the eyes during his innings of 107 and received support from Jason Heyliger who scored an unbeaten fifty (51 not out).
Skipper Keston Harcourt (29) also supported with lower order runs as Azeem Azeez (2-45) and Kevin Ross (1-21) ended as the pick of the bowlers for TSC who were dismissed for 131 in response.
Devon Allen (32), national under – 19 batsman Adrian Hinds (22) and Azeez (22) all managed starts but failed to kick on as Heyliger returned to snare 5-11 and complete an excellent all-round performance.
He received support from Harcourt who collected 2-16 to aid in completing a compelling win for the Lawmen.
