Dear Editor,
I reside at Lot 137 Section B, Non Pareil, East Coast Demerara and the main pipe located on the parapet outside my house burst on the weekend of February 2nd.
Since I had no number for Guyana Water Incorporated at Melanie, I reported this matter to the Georgetown office on February 4th. I was given a reference number and the young lady told me that she had sent an email to the Melanie location and gave me a telephone number to contact them.
I have been calling GWI’s office at Melanie since February 4th and visited their office on February 13th. A young lady there took all the details again, including address, contact number etc. and gave me the Engineer’s number. I tried contacting the said engineer but he did not answer his cellphone.
Editor, the water is running down onto my bridge and the entire parapet and bridge is now a complete mess.
Yours faithfully,
Jennifer Kanhai
