Young Warriors Cricket Club booked their spot in the semifinals after defeating Rose Hall Canje by 15 runs in the Berbice Cricket Board/New Building Society 40-overs second-division tournament on Sunday at the Canje Welfare Ground.
Warriors won the toss and opted to bat on a slow track where they posted 209-9 in their allotted overs. They then dismissed the hosts for 194 in 37.3 overs.
Warriors were off to a blazing start with Alex Algoo and Ricardo Ramdial putting on 80 for the first wicket.
Algoo, however, was found short of his crease for 37 consisting of three sixes and Ramdial soon followed for 22 via stumping after he was given a life on 11.
