A man was on Tuesday remanded to prison after he was charged with the rape of a girl under the age of 16.
Jaowel Williams, 32, appeared before Magistrate Faith McGusty in Georgetown, where he was read a charge that stated that he engaged in the sexual penetration of a 14-year-old girl between January 1st and February 15th, 2019.
He was refused bail and remanded to jail until March 12th, 2019.
