The seventh edition of the Milo Secondary School Football Championships resumes today at the Ministry of Education ground, Carifesta Avenue with three group matches.
At 12:00hrs, Annandale will oppose South Ruimveldt, while the second fixture will pit the Canje against St. Joseph’s High from 13:45hrs.
In the final fixture, Lodge Secondary will lock horns with President’s College at 15:30hrs.
The tournament continues tomorrow at the same venue with another round of group fixtures.
In the opening matchup, the Bishops’ High takes aim at Queen’s College from 12:00hrs, while St. Stanislaus lock horns with North Ruimveldt at 13:45hrs.
The final match will pit Marian Academy against St. Mary’s Secondary from 15:30hrs.
The tourney which is set to conclude April 14th, features 24 teams divided into six groups of four.
Upon the conclusion of the group stage, the top two finishers in each pool, alongside the best four third place teams, advance to the elimination round.
Winner of the competition receives $500,000 towards a school project and the championship trophy. Similarly, the second, third and fourth-placed sides pocket $300,000, $200,000 and $100,000 respectively towards a school initiative and a trophy.
