The growing prominence of women in various facets of national life, not least in public and private sector management and leadership roles in social and charitable organisations is once again being publicly recognised, this time by two leading local companies, The Nico Consulting, Inc. (TNC) and Cerulean Incorporated.
A release issued by the two private sector entities disclosed that come Thursday May 16, twenty-five individuals, designated “influential women leaders” will be honoured at a ceremony to be held at the Pegasus Hotel. The award, the release said, will be the first of its kind “to focus on women from a variety of sectors rather than a single industry” making it “a unique and important milestone in the recognition of women as leaders.”
According to the release the Award administrators, Michelle A. Nicholas and Lyndel Danzie-Black, Founders and Chief Executive Officers of Nico Consulting Inc. and CERULEAN Inc, respectively, say that they are seeking applicants “with a proven track record, high integrity, and commitment to their community.” Women from any field or background can be nominated and according to the release “recipients will be chosen for their professional accomplishments and contributions to their community and beyond. Honourees will have the unique opportunity to connect with other women leaders on a national and international level and gather for quarterly meetings.”
