A Division-A was crowned the Guyana Police Force Inter-Division/Branch 5-a-side Football Champion after defeating Band-Room 3-0 on Wednesday at the Eve Leary ground.
With both teams failing to score at the end of regulation time, A Division-A secured the title by recording three unanswered goals in the extra time interval.
Due to the outcome, the team copped $100,000 and the championship trophy. The runner-up pocketed $50,000.
Meanwhile, in the third-place matchup, F Division downed Presidential Guard by a 1-0 scoreline. With the win, F Division walked away with $25,000 and the corresponding accolade.
On the individual side of the presentation, Marvin Josiah of A Division-A walked away with the Most Valuable Player trophy and $10,000. Similarly, Kevis Fraser of F Division copped the Highest Goal Scorer accolade and $10,000, having recorded five conversions.
