The seventh edition of the Milo Secondary School Football Championship, resumes today at the Ministry of Education ground, Carifesta Avenue with three group matches.
At 12:00hrs, Ann’s Grove will oppose St. John’s College, while the second fixture will pit Uitvlugt against St. Cuthbert’s Mission High from 13:45hrs.
In the final fixture, Golden Grove Secondary will lock horns with Cummings Lodge at 15:30hrs.
The tournament continues tomorrow at the same venue with another round of group fixtures.
In the opening matchup, Christianburg/Wismar takes aim at Friendship from 12:00hrs while Vergenoegen will lock horns with Charlestown at 13:45hrs.
The final match will pit Tucville against Tutorial from 15:30hrs. The tournament, which is set to conclude on April 14th, features 24 teams divided into six groups of four.
Upon the conclusion of the group stage, the top two finishers in each pool, alongside the best four third place teams, advance to the elimination round.
Winner of the competition receives $500,000 towards a school project and the championship trophy. Similarly, the second, third and fourth-placed sides pocket $300,000, $200,000 and $100,000 respectively towards a school initiative and a trophy.
