Defending champions Barbados recorded another comfortable win in the ongoing Colonial Medical Insurance Women’s Super50 cup by brushing aside Jamaica by eight wickets at Bourda yesterday.
The win for the Bajans was orchestrated by skipper Hayley Matthews who cracked a magnificent century to complete the successful run chase; Barbados’ third win on the trot. Chasing 214 for victory, Barbados coasted to the target with Matthews cracking 108 inclusive of 14 fours and two maximums to spearhead the win.
The West Indian batting sensation received support from the inform Kycia Knight who contributed an unbeaten knock of 59 to complete the win while Deandra Dottin slammed two fours and the same number of maximums in an unbeaten knock of 23 to seal the deal.
