He is used to lifting heavy weights in and out the gym, but powerlifting standout, Carlos Petterson-Griffith, was recently himself on the receiving end of a major lift. The record-breaking strong man and crane operator, whose hobby is surely lifting heavy things off the ground, was recently presented with a cheque from his employer, Guyana Shore Base Inc.
Petterson-Griffith will use the money to help offset expenses for his next international championship in Sweden: The World Classic Powerlifting Championships slated for June 3-15.
