Following a scoreless first half interval, Kester Jacobs secured the victory, etching his name on the scorer’s sheet compliments of a 73rd minute penalty conversion.
On the other hand, Western Tigers were held to a 2-2 draw with Victoria Kings.
Randy Stoby and Trevor Fraser scored in the 24th and 28th minute respectively for Kings, with Randolph Wagner and Colin Nelson netting for the Tigers in the 17th and 52nd minute.
Meanwhile, Guyana Defence Force [GDF] was held to a scoreless draw by Milerock on Saturday at the Mackenzie Sports Club [MSC] ground, Linden.
