A commanding spin-bowling performance from Trinidad and Tobago ensured they disposed of Leeward Islands by nine wickets in round three of the Cricket West Indies T20 Blaze on Sunday night at Providence.
Winning the toss and electing to bat under lights in the presence of a decent crowd, Leewards were routed for an embarrassing 68 in 18 overs, to which Trinidad, in reply, reached 70-1 in 45 balls.
The opening salvo saw Malissa Howard benefiting from an inside edge off of Anisa Mohammed in the first over that went past Melissa Aguilliera behind the stumps and into the boundary ropes.
