North East La Penitence, Albouystown-B, California Square and Kingston were among the winning teams when the Stag Beer Easter Futsal Championship continued on Thursday at the National Gymnasium, Mandela Avenue.
North East La Penitence battled past Tiger Bay 3-2. Calvin Moore, Kevin Mullin and Joel Yhap scored in the ninth, 12th and 14th minute respectively.
For Tiger Bay, Orin Moore and Deon Alfred netted in the sixth and eighth minute apiece. Similarly, California Square edged Ol Skool 3-2.
David George recorded two goals in the 18th and 24th minute, Tohari Levi Canterbury netted in the first minute.
For Ol Skool, Junior Jordan and Ravin Naughton found the back of the net in the fifth and 14th minute respectively.
In another fixture, Albouystown-B dismissed Fearless 6-3. Timothy Thomas tallied a double in the 19th and 20th minute, with Devon Dooker adding a brace in the fifth and 24th minute.
Chipping in with goals were Tevin Curry and Moses Grittens in the fourth and 10th minute respectively.
For the losing team, Keion Mayers, Marvin Cutter and Delon Cadogan scored in the eighth, 11th and 23rd minute respectively.
Likewise, Kingston made light work of Norton Street 5-2. Simon Emmanuel tallied a brace in the seventh and ninth minute, with Stephon Reynolds adding a double in the second and 20th minute.
Assisting with a goal in the 17th minute was Leon Clarke. For the losers, Junior Simon and Kevin Richards netted in the 11th and 24th minute each.
In other results, Sophia overcame Germans 4-3, while Gold is Money and Silver Bullets battled to a 2-2 stalemate.
Also, Sparta Boss defeated Broad Street via walkover. The tournament continues today at the same venue with the round of 16 zone.
In the opening match, Leopold Street will oppose Kingston at 21:00hrs, with Back Circle engaging Young Ballers at 22:00hrs and North East la Penitence battling Young Ballers at 23:00hrs.
The final match will pit Sparta Boss against Gaza Squad from 24:00hrs.
